E-Commerce: A Definition

Typically, we think of e-commerce as a website with a shopping cart that allows customers to browse, order, and pay for products through the website. However, that's not necessarily the only form of e-commerce on the net. Sure, it's the most obvious and initial definition, but these days the term has become much broader. As a business, there are two primary reasons for having a website:

2. To save you money by streamlining manual processes

If a particular feature or addition to your website does not clearly serve one of these goals, then you should be sure to think long and hard about it before adding it to your site.
